The Principle of Insect Net in Greenhouse to Prevent Pests

Greenhouse insect net is widely used in agricultural planting. It has the function of preventing insects and diseases. Why does greenhouse insect net have this function? What is the principle?

Vegetables covered with insect net can basically avoid pests such as cabbage caterpillar, diamondback moth, cabbage armyworm, Spodoptera litura, leafhopper, aphid and so on. According to the experiment, the control effect of insect net on cabbage caterpillar, diamondback moth, cowpea pod borer and Liriomyza sativae was 94-97% and 90% respectively. Viral diseases are a disastrous disease on many vegetables, mainly caused by insects, especially aphids. Because the insect net cuts off the main route of transmission of pests, the infection of vegetable viruses is greatly reduced, and the control effect is about 80%.

Adjusting the temperature, soil temperature and humidity, the experiment showed that the temperature in the morning and evening was the same as that in the open field in the hot July-August period, and the temperature in the sunny day was about 1 degree lower than that in the open field at noon.
